Shimmering stars in a glow jar, right? Actually, not. Extreme macro, shallow depth of field and bokeh circles create magical patterns. Here I used food dye and let the powder slowly dissolve, forming beautiful traces. Usually, photos of dyes are taken from further away to show the dripping patterns, but why not try something different every now and then?
A nature photographer interested in the little details of wildlife, always getting upclose to investigate. However, sometimes colours stand in the way. Then I take one of my film cameras and let the shades of gray tell the story of light and shadow. A scientist by training and an artist in my free time, I combine both worlds to express my vision. I am based in Southern Finland and enjoy the variety and beauty of nature around me. I get my inspiration from my outdoor trips but also try to push my creative limits with still life.
