I love the fresh, moist summer nights, and walking in the forest even when it's pitch black outside. I am not scared. I feel like I am one with nature. Sometimes, in the right place at the right time, you can see small glimmers of light. Nature creates beautiful scenery with fireflies flying in between the trees. It's magical.
About Maria Dimitrova
A nature photographer interested in the little details of wildlife, always getting upclose to investigate. However, sometimes colours stand in the way. Then I take one of my film cameras and let the shades of gray tell the story of light and shadow. A scientist by training and an artist in my free time, I combine both worlds to express my vision. I am based in Southern Finland and enjoy the variety and beauty of nature around me. I get my inspiration from my outdoor trips but also try to push my creative limits with still life.
