Artist's Description
Have you ever used a film camera?
I love film photography. It's amazing to take photos the "real" way - the way our craft was discovered and practised more well over a century ago. Analog photography is a true test of a photographer's skills. It has a special charm that has survived over the years.
In this photo, I pictured my 35mm Asahi Spotmatic camera with the legendary Pentax Takumar 50mm f/1.4 lens.
About Maria Dimitrova
A nature photographer interested in the little details of wildlife, always getting upclose to investigate. However, sometimes colours stand in the way. Then I take one of my film cameras and let the shades of gray tell the story of light and shadow. A scientist by training and an artist in my free time, I combine both worlds to express my vision. I am based in Southern Finland and enjoy the variety and beauty of nature around me. I get my inspiration from my outdoor trips but also try to push my creative limits with still life.
